supreende-me o head of quality ja na ponta final da entrevista. de certeza leu num manual de entrevistas de como se pode ser tanto original como subliminar na apreciação das capacidades do candidato à posição. fosse pra controlador de tráfego aéreo, pra jogador de futebol ou pra mim ele perguntaria sempre aquela enigmática questao.

simulo abalo e transtorno para lhe dar a abébia e mando uma estimativa:

"150 thousand light years, but i'm not sure."

-"how do you know?"

ele também nao sabia nem queria saber, mas revelou-se. queria perceber se eu tinha sentido crítico ou se simplesmente acreditava em tudo o que lia. continuei em postura dissimulada.

"well from literature i guess but, to be honest, i wouldn't know it myself, it's just what i read, so i would actually say i can't answer that question for sure"

-"how could you find out?"

tiro 1 segundo pra invocar o meu mana astronomico de categoria FCUL 2001/2002 e faço o cast do astrophysics level 7:

"by measuring it myself on a clear night, on a place with no light pollution. luminosity and brightness of stars are inversely proportional to the distance and there is a formula that relates that. by parallax and with the adequate devices i could calculate the movement of the said star and eventually understand it's gravitational influence. by combining these characteristics of stars and the apparent light bend they suffer from the black hole on the center of the galaxy, it would be possible to roughly locate them relatively to the said black hole. Then it would be a matter of newton's law of gravity or, if you want to be more accurate, einstein's special relativity equations."

apesar de ter sido contratado horas mais tarde nunca percebi o que é que aquela reacção quis dizer. no fim, o imperador do under control ficou baralhado, como quase sempre a cona tece. se nao isto, o que é que este caralho queria que eu dissesse?
